Work of Art Community Gallery was opened in August 2013 by retired businessman, Chris Burgess. Fulfilling a dream to showcase his considerable art collection as well as exhibiting current work by leading international, national and regional artists, Chris has created a wonderful community gallery that is a highlight for any art lover.
The gallery has a strong focus on providing a nurturing environment for new and upcoming artists, including many local artists, with the facilitation of artist workshops and the provision of exhibition space. The support of emerging artists is a primary aim of the gallery as well as the promotion of the visual arts. It is important to Chris t…

Now, thanks to the persistence of some of their web savvy customers, you can browse the shelves of Love & Kisses without having to worry about finding a park or keeping the kids occupied. You can even have stuff sent to you on the other side of the globe - or just around the corner. Of course there are always new things arriving at he store and items that are difficult to list on this website. So if you have something specific in mind, you can always phone up and speak to a real person.
A few things that you might not find anywhere else are: • Stationary and Supplies for students of Steiner/Waldorf schools. • Hand made traditional dolls from Peru. • Unique hand dyed wool and felting supplies.
I'm shaving on March 24, 2024 to help beat blood cancer. And if we can raise over $500 I pledge to also shave my legs LOL - Cameron Murdoch
Why is Cameron taking part? Cameron's co-worker has cancer at the moment, his Grandfather and uncle also died of cancer.
Statistics, Mission & Vision Blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis. There are 140,000 families facing blood cancer right now. And it takes the lives of 16 Australians every day. These numbers are set to double by 2035. Unless we do something about it. That's why I've signed up for the World's Greatest Shave. I'm raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation to give Australians facing blood cancer life-changing practical and emotional support. And to fund critical research, bringing us closer to the day when zero lives are lost to blood cancer.

No one deserves to be homeless - The SleepBus initiative will help give a safe night sleep to up to 20 people per night. Together with Lifehouse Care the SleepBus Fundraiser is well on the way to reaching the target goal of $100,000 to bring this hotel pod on wheels to Coffs Harbour for emergency overnight accommodation. I had the honour and privilege of being involved on the day. A very big thankyou to Doris Rake for organising the event, and to Alison Paul from NBN news for her talented MC'ing, and thank you to all attendees, bidders and donators (especially one very generous couple who donated $20,000). Lastly a personal thank you to my wonderful and very supportive wife Janie Bourne for handling the Door Entry and Raffle Ticket sales.
The event was held on Saturday the 13th of May at Coffs Surf Club Restaurant and Bar.
Coffs Harbour mountain bike rider, surf lifesaver, businessman, hubby and dad Michael Bourne has used a not-so-pleasant cycling accident to help others. After a recent spill from his mountain bike, Michael spent some time at Coffs Harbour Health Campus with the Surgical Unit team, and then the Physiotherapy team. He noticed the hospital could do with another set of wheels… a self-propelled wheelchair to be precise, so he turned to his Facebook friends for help. Having located a near-new $1500 high-end wheelchair for $300, Michael asked for donations and within three hours, hit his target. Today, Michael handed over the ultra-light wheelchair to Chief Physiotherapist Greg Ewart (in the blue shirt) where it will be …
Did you know that suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia? That means that each year, more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.
By sponsoring my participation in Laps for Life, you'll be helping ReachOut achieve its mission of ensuring that all young people have the support they need to be happy and well.
